| History - The conference "The science of Aphasia" |
| |
| The international conference "The science of Aphasia" (SoA) is a
European meeting in addition to the yearly organized US-conference
"The Academy of Aphasia". Despite its relatively short tradition,
SoA is already renowned as a respectable European conference on neurolinguistic
research. It is seen as a complementary meeting to the European Workshop
for Cognitive Neuropsychology (EWCN) which has now been organized
for 24 years and whose emphasis is on non-language topics of neuropsychology.
SoA on the other hand is focused on the relationship between brain
and language. |
Since 2000, four meetings have been held in different European countries.
